We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the financial operations of our company. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare record-keeping on Xero, NetSuite and QuickBooks for a variety of clients from diverse sectors. Record-keeping responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Generating sales and purchase invoices
  • Maintaining lists of receivables and payables
  • Posting regular entries for payroll and to account for prepayments and accruals.
  • Prepare and review VAT returns for regular, accruals, and flat rate arrangement.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding any inquiries and to follow up for information.
  • Generate reports to stay updated on the progress of tasks related to VAT returns/OSS returns/YE accounts and record-keeping deadlines.
  • Have expertise in MTD and stay informed

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
  2. Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel.
  3. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
  4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  5. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  6. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Associate’s degree in accounting or related field (preferred, but not required).
  8. Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance (a plus).
